An Exceptional Club for Women in Baltimore

Art at the Hamilton Street Club

In this new phase we have been fortunate that one of our club members, Jacqueline Slavney, has agreed to make a long-term loan of her photographs available to us.  A selection of her elegant and insightful work has been installed both upstairs and downstairs at the club.

It was Olivia Holt who came up with the idea for the women’s Hamilton Street Club in 1928.  That same year, Virginia Woolf wrote that a woman must have money and a room of her own, certainly in order to write fiction!

Drop In Lunches

The Club is open for lunch every weekday for drop in lunch except when there is a guest speaker scheduled. On non-program days we encourage members to “drop in” for lunch with a friend or two to enjoy a quiet meal from our small but excellent menu.

Our members are our biggest asset!  We love to hear about how the members so enjoy the club and its many offerings.  Read some comments members have made to see why the club is exceptional!
